Violent tumbling and a torn boot seal Richard L. • Colchester , CT • August 10, 2026
One of the suspension springs broke cause the drum to wobble violently which in turn tore the seal. Additionally ti allowed the drum to drop onto the discharge hose tearing it.
Spring replacement was fairly straightforward but requires strength to attach
The boot seal was more complex but doable for handy people
I did not discover the torn discharge hose until testing the above repairs

I accidentally stepped on the door of my Samsung dryer. The door is intact but brackets bent. Margaret C. • Tampa , FL • June 07, 2018
I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws. Now the balanced and secure dishwasher washes better than ever and I did not have to pay an extraordinary fee for a repairman. I'm 68 and take care of a 72 year...

Ge front load washer suspension spring broken Bruce R. • Pittsburgh , PA • July 25, 2014
I literally could have done this job with a blindfold on! No kidding. Come on people! My grandmother could have done this one!
Since the rubber gasket/skirt in the front of the washer (seals the door) was twisted when the spring failed and the drum failed, I had to remove the wire hoop and spring that held it in place and readjust the skirt. Easy.
Them I removed the top of the washer (6 screws). Easy.
Immediately you could see the failed spring. I ordered 2 springs so I could replace both...

Leaking washing machine replaced rubber door boot.. Gerhard P. • Dagsboro , DE • November 04, 2019
Fixing was easy and took approximately 1 hour. I have a Bosch Axxis washing machine and all parts came exactly as ordered and within 2 days of order. I had to take off front and top panel and the door switch. The new wire and spring was part of the order and I had to pay for it. The old parts looked fine to me and I could have reused them but since I had the new ones, I replaced them anyhow. I wish I would have the option to buy the rubber gasket only.

Evaporator fan noise William O. • Oakmont , PA • December 18, 2014
Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge.
Noise was due to fan rubbing on housing. New fan position set to avoid any rubbing.
