Dryer would not get hot William D. • Salem , OR • February 03, 2015
Changed Thermistor, Thermostats and the Thermal Fuse Assembly. I did not remove drum, so squeezing my hands in-between drum and vent hose pipe to remove screws was a tight fit, but doable.

Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10017410
This time-delay fuse protects the appliance's power circuit by opening when current exceeds a safe level while tolerating brief inrush current. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the root cause is corrected. What it does:
- Protects the line and control circuits from shorts and overloads
- Time-delay design helps prevent nuisance opening during startup surges
- When open, the unit will be completely dead—no display, lights, or response
- Repeatedly opening usually indicates an unresolved electrical fault that needs diagnosis
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing; some appliances can retain dangerous high voltage
- Replace only with the same type and rating specified by the manufacturer
- Inspect the fuse holder and wiring for heat damage or loose connections before reassembly
- If the new fuse opens immediately, stop and diagnose the underlying cause; never bypass or upsize a fuse

Microwave stated ‘door open’ and would not work. Margo D. • Tarpley , TX • March 17, 2019
I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news! We replaced the fuse, bus fuse, and light bulb (quit working 2 years ago) and all is working. Thanks for the information and for the part diagram. Couldn't have done it without you.

- Helps prevent thermal cutoffs caused by restricted airflow or faulty temperature regulation
What's included: 1 internal-bias thermostat
- Disconnect power before servicing; for gas models, also shut off the gas supply
- Access location is typically on the blower/exhaust housing; note wire positions and transfer one at a time
- Ensure the thermostat mounts flush for proper sensing; tighten screws securely

Wax motor for detergent/rinse-aid dispenser.

Soap dispenser door wouldn't open David H. • San Francisco , CA • May 15, 2015
Took door off, saw that dispenser linkage was ok, I could open and close by hand, so figured the wax motor or the wiring to it were most likely the problem. I took off the wax motor ( actuator) and ran 120 volts to it via jumper wires, and it did not move at all, so figured good chance that was the problem. Found part # on your site, received new one quickly from you, put it in and works great. Thanks.

Genuine Ge part

Part Number: WE04X10094
This thermal limiter is a safety fuse designed to protect the dryer from overheating by cutting off power to the heating element if temperatures exceed safe limits. It is typically mounted on or near the heating element housing. Replace this part if the dryer is not heating at all, as a blown thermal limiter is a common cause of no-heat conditions often triggered by restricted airflow or a clogged vent.

My dryer wasn't heating Jesus V. • Kissimmee , FL • March 27, 2017
PLEASE UNPLUG DRYER FIRST. This was my first attempt at trying to fix my dryer (Maytag SDE515DAYW). Order the element kit Part Number AP4046564. The installation was easier than I thought. Just removed the two front panels and I was able to reach the back of the dryer, under the drum (this is where the heat element was located), disconnected the wires (took pictures first) and removed the two screws that held the heat element. Pulled the part down and it just slid off. Connected all the wires...
