Removed the screws, lifted the old lid out of the hinges. Replaced the hinges, set new lid in the hinges and replaced screws. Read more

I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Then it was just a matter of taking off everything around the sides until I could take the brackets off, put the new brackets on, and put everything back... Read more

After checking on-line and watching several YOUTUBE University videos on the topic, I felt I could change the hinges myself. I started a search for the Jenn-Air/Whirlpool hinge part no. WP74010283. Ordered these replacements. Found it odd that one side was more than the orher, but this was the same on every site I searched. This site was the best price after shipping. They both came in three days, as scheduled, but in individual packages and two different brands? They did both fit, and were easy to install. Only issue that I had was that the screw holes that hold the hinges to the oven were not threaded to receive the small machine screws. Luckily I had a 10-32 tap to solve this problem.... Read more

A friends family had left her refrigerator out on a porch while they were remodeling the house she was supposed to move into. A wind storm blew the refrigerator off the porch and tore the door off.
