Replace Door Hinge Parts

I looked up why the door was not staying shut. I watched a Youtube video and found it was an easy repair and a few dollars in parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. I had previously bought parts from here, are reasonably priced, and they come in quick. I changed the door parts in 1/2 an hour and it was working great. Saved me from buying a new refrigerator. Removed 10 Star Screws to get the door cover off and the fascia panel snapped off. Inserted the 6 buttons and the door handle into the facia panel prior to snapping it in place. Screwed the door cover back in place and the job was done. The facia has two tabs that need to be inserted into the door. Be careful not to crack them as they seem fragile. The first facia panel I ordered arrived with with one of those tabs cracked off. Read more

I ordered a replacement glass from Appliance Part Pros on Friday evening and it was delivered on Monday morning. It was packed well and I appreciated the quick delivery. Replaced upper and lower thimble's, lever arm, cam closure. Door stop was not the problem, but ordered it and replaced it too. The door of course has to come off, remove the top hinge, and lift it away. Lubricated moving parts with silicone spray. Be sure and put the door back in the open position, so the lever arm and cam closure can properly interact, then close the door. Remove the plastic grate at the bottom to get at the lever arm. Presto. Problem gone. Don't put excessive weight... Read more

I did not have the model number of the refrigerator! I looked everywhere, but I think it had been ripped off. This left me with the difficult task of trying to look through pictures of dairy doors and freezer shelves, armed with only the approximate dimensions of the pieces. The right door on our Jenn Air French Door Refrigerator would pop open & not fully close when the left door was closed first.
