Nut Damper Control Refrigator Parts

The refrigerator was given to me and hasn't defrosted since it was new. I found the defrost timer had a burnt spot on the circuit board. After installing a new timer, the refrigerator would trip the circuit breaker in my house when it entered defrost mode. I found that the pink wire running from the control board all the way to the thermostat was shorted somewhere between the two parts, inside the refrigerator. I ran a new "pink" wire and all is good. Since no known error code was on the display I figured it must be the control board. After getting through a fiasco with another website, I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The control board is located under the freezer and comes out if you remove 1 self-tapping screw. There was no way to tell if the board was dead, but once we got the new one, we connected all the connectors, plugged in the fridge and viola! it worked again. Read more

Start by removing the frame on the sides and bottom of the door. (Do not unscrew the corner screw holding the side frame and bottom together.) Be careful the glass will fall once the last screw is removed from the bottom so hold tight. Carefully remove glass and set aside. Remove top frame that held the handle. Removed & replaced baffle. Make sure you have a 1/4" nut driver. You can't see the nut that is at a 90 degree angle from the front of the refrigerator. There is a second nut hidden behind the air filter at the back of the compartment as well. Once you remove these two, the plastic housing comes off & the assembly (which is mostly made of Styrofoam) is easily replaced. Read more

After the part arrived I again referenced the best video - several times - and finally made the repair swapping out bad mother board with the new one from AppliancePartsPros. Saved me hundreds. Shut power off to unit. Took cook top out and removed metal cover to remove electrical board. Replaced with new one. Was just 5-6 connections that couldn’t be mixed up. Fairly easy fix. Works like new. Read more

First and foremost, don't believe everything you see on Youtube. In order to get to the gas solenoid that feeds the burner you MUST take the entire top off that side of the range. Remove the grates and burner tops. You will see 2x 20mm brass nut, or so it appears, that hold each burner in place on the splash/drip pan.
