Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The door handle screw holes were hollowed out (the handle is plastic) making the door continuously fall off the plastic latches on the door trim were also broken off. Matthew F. • Columbia , MO • January 17, 2020
Replacing the trim takes a little bit of alignment and light force. The trim slides over the glass panel of the door, with the glass sliding into plastic tabs. We kept the door nearly vertical (almost closed), lined up the tabs on the trim with the glass door, and used mild force to slide the trim down onto the glass door. The control knob was orginal equipment but the switch installed by a sears tech was not and the knob eventually would not work the switch Kevin W. • Yucca Valley , CA • December 19, 2016
I went on your website found the parts needed to make the repairs. I watched the short video on installation. The parts arrived just a few days after I placed the order. I finished the repair in less than an hour and had to wait a few minutes to test the switch since the power was off and on due to a wind storm. Simple easy to do repair and I saved $90.00 on service fee for a tech to do the repair.

Microwave blew line fuse Gerald G. • St. Louis , MO • August 05, 2019
It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. I replaced the worn bracket (AP6230612) as well as the plastic latch mechanism (AP4553585) on the door that engages this bracket (and of course the fuse too) and the microwave now...
