Object Stack Blower Wheel Parts
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WE16X28
This dryer blower wheel mounts on the motor shaft to move air through the drum, lint filter, and exhaust duct, helping maintain proper airflow, even drying, and overall dryer performance.
- Moves air through the drum, lint screen, and duct to exhaust moisture and lint
- If the hub is stripped or the wheel is loose on the motor shaft, airflow drops and dry times increase
- Cracked, warped, or broken fins can cause rattling, scraping, or vibration during operation
- Common symptoms include weak air at the vent, longer cycles, or unusual noise from the lower/front cabinet area
What's included: 1 blower wheel Install notes:
- Disconnect power; if gas, also shut off the gas supply. Wear gloves—sheet-metal edges can be sharp
- Access the blower housing by removing the front/lower panel and blower cover as your model requires
- Note thread direction and any retaining nut/clip when removing; transfer any reusable hardware to the new wheel
- Clear lint and debris from the blower housing and ducts; ensure the new wheel spins freely without rubbing before reassembly

The Motor-Fan is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool kitchen ranges. Located within the back wall of the oven cavity, the motor fan works to circulate air and remove excess moisture and smoke during the cooking process. Proper motor-fan functioning helps ensure efficient oven ventilation and performance.
Symptoms of a bad motor fan include:
- Excessive smoke or moisture left in the oven after cooking
- Oven taking longer to preheat and cook due to poor air circulation
- Loud buzzing or grinding noises emanating from the fan
Causes of failure are normally wear and tear of motor windings or fan blade bearings from years of continuous use. Overheating can potentially reduce lifespan as well.
This OEM Whirlpool part is compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
