Object Stack Blower Wheel Parts

Fan Motor
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10860984

The Motor-Fan is an OEM component specifically designed for Whirlpool kitchen ranges. Located within the back wall of the oven cavity, the motor fan works to circulate air and remove excess moisture and smoke during the cooking process. Proper motor-fan functioning helps ensure efficient oven ventilation and performance.

Symptoms of a bad motor fan include:

  • Excessive smoke or moisture left in the oven after cooking
  • Oven taking longer to preheat and cook due to poor air circulation
  • Loud buzzing or grinding noises emanating from the fan

Causes of failure are normally wear and tear of motor windings or fan blade bearings from years of continuous use. Overheating can potentially reduce lifespan as well.

This OEM Whirlpool part is compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You GE Profile range display dead after self cleaning.   Lance C. • Wooster , OH • May 07, 2022

Replaced the thermal limit switch and blower. The blower had been getting noisy lately and was most likely the cause of the limit switch blowing. Upon removal of the blower it was very stiff when turning by hand. Easy to change the blower - disconnect the power, open the back of the range and three Phillips screws hold the blower in place. Replacing the limit switch was a different story. First, as the limit switch blew during cleaning the oven door was locked shut. With the display dead,... Read more

Found the parts I needed on the Appliance Parts Pros website. Went to my local appliance store with the pictures from the website, and they did not agree that the replacement rack roller was what I needed. I was to return with a picture of my Dishwasher upper rack to show them. This was a 30 mile round trip, that I was going to have to do again before the parts I needed would even be ordered. The motor hummed but the fan didn't turn. Clearly the brushes were burned out. I ordered a new fan, although I had to talk to a human at ApplianceParts because my model was not listed. The part was a perfect fit. The only problem is determining how to remove the over to reach the back, no instructions anywhere online. But trial and error eventually worked.
