Filter replacement is easy. CAUTION. When removing the wand that is immediately above this filter you must reach around the back base and feel for a tab sticking out. Pull on it and lift the wand up. If not you may break the tab off which is a retainer needed for the center wand that supplies water to the upper rack. This is a small mesh filter screen that fits inside the water inlet valve to catch sediment and debris from your household water supply before it enters the washer. This is an internal filter assembly that sits in the bottom of the dishwasher tub to trap food particles and debris during the wash and drain cycles.
