Removed water out of basin, down to the last inch.. Watched water rise slowly, and felt temperature, warm. This told me it was supply water. Ordered replacement part, two days just as mentioned, Removed as per video. Also choose to replace the waste line check valve, to affordable not too. Dishes weren't clean, soap wasn't dissolving, not spraying Timothy B. • Williamsville , NY • February 16, 2019
Cycle would complete but dishes weren't clean (not even really wet) and soap wasn't dissolving. Could hear fill at start but maybe not spraying or filling again in cycle. Thought it was the control board, but actually this was not the error. Replaced the control board and same problem arose, only new control board version actually stopped cycle with message that dishwasher couldn't fill. Looking underneath the pump had somehow become dislodged from the bottom of dishwasher and was laying on...

This is a water reservoir tank assembly used in the refrigerator's water dispensing or filtration system. It holds filtered water and supplies it to the dispenser or ice maker as needed. Replace this assembly if you notice water leaks inside the refrigerator compartment, reduced water flow from the dispenser, or if the existing reservoir is cracked or damaged.

I had a leak at the water inlet valve Nicholas C. • Wildwood , MO • May 15, 2020
I had a slow leak at the water inlet valve where the water line from the filter assembly connected to the water inlet valve. I determine that the water line had scratches in it which caused it to not seal. Had to buy the entire reservoir and filter assembly to get that water line. The replacement was smooth. It took about 30 minutes to swap out and it fixed the leak.

Water remained in the bottom of the dishwasher after all cycles were complete. Fred E. • Saratoga Springs , NY • March 21, 2014
It is very simple to fix. All the blogs recommend replacement of this part but do not explain why. This is a normally open check valve that permits the water from inside the dishwasher to drain out, either once it gets too high or just general splash. When the machine drains the pump comes on and the check valve closes. If the check valve is damaged or worn (like mine was) some of the water can pump back into the machine. So really, the problem is not that the machine will not drain but...

Jenn airJDB8000AWS3 dishwasher would not drain Lynden B. • Benicia , CA • December 17, 2019
Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to...

Bosch dishwasher flooding after freeze. Harold R. • Leander , TX • March 02, 2021
This was not my first rodeo have repaired our appliances and those of our daughters for years, have ordered parts from this site several times. We had a cold spell in Texas, as you may have heard. We weathered it okay but left the dishwasher closed on one of the colder nights, woke up to water on the floor in the kitchen. Turned off the supply line, shut off the dishwasher power, bailed out the bottom, and mopped up. Had a fair idea of what the cause was, checked a few websites, watched some...

Dishwasher was not filling up to normal level, hardly any water was coming in James V. • Annandale , VA • August 31, 2021
First I cleared the food chopper area. There were things there, bits of plastic for instance, but it wasn't the reason for the dishes not getting sprayed off. The dishwasher continued to only partially fill and not circulate the water. I started the dishwasher, let the pump start and then opened the door and filled up the dishwasher manually. It sprayed water as it should, cleaning the top rack quite well. I figured the issue was not the float switch, since some water was coming in. So I...

I found a youtube video about replacing the hot water valve in a Samsung washer. It looked pretty easy. I had been very satisfied with an earlier order from AppliancePartsPros.com, so I ordered this part on Sunday after 9PM, standard delivery, hoping to get the part by the end of the week. I was flabbergasted to receive the part TUESDAY MORNING! Wow! I followed the instructions in the youtube video exactly. 14 year old kitchenaid dishwasher wasn't filling with water (only partially) had to add water during cycles William S. • Annapolis , MD • March 27, 2017
Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. Also the solenoid had to be unclipped and also rotated. Again it was...

Water tank assembly leaking Mark Y. • Ballinger , TX • August 22, 2016
Replaced tank assembly. Actually I think the supply hose was originally not fully seated in the tank and I think I could have re-seated it deeper through the gray bushing. When I set the line into the new tank, still leaking. Pulled out supply line and reset using a little more force and line went into the tank. Took the bushing clip off the other tank and used it for the supply line bushing. So far, no leaks. The thing to remember is to push the edges of each hose bushing inward to pull...

No water going in to wash dishes. Steven F. • Dallas , GA • January 21, 2019
I've never repaired an appliance before, but wanted to try to at least diagnose the problem before calling a professional. I started with Google searches to explain why water wasn't going in. First checked the water supply and verified it was OK. The next most likely problem was the inlet valve.
I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on how to replace this part, decided I should be able to do it myself, and found that the part was under $30. To test my ability, I removed the existing part &...

Part Number: WPW10195036
The Water Level Float is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It helps regulate the water level within the dishwasher by rising with the water level and signaling the control board to shut off the water inlet valve when the appropriate level is reached.
Causes of a bad water level float can include wear and tear, mineral buildup or debris obstructing its movement, or damage due to mishandling. Over time, these issues can prevent the float from moving freely or accurately signaling the water level.
Symptoms of a bad water level float include:
- Dishwasher overfilling or underfilling
- Water leaks during the wash cycle
- The dishwasher not completing cycles correctly
- Error codes related to water level issues
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
