Thermistor (Temperature Sensor)
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 6322W2A001A

Thermistor is a temperature-sensing replacement that monitors refrigerator and freezer temperatures so the control board can regulate cooling. Replacing a faulty thermistor restores accurate temperature readings and helps stabilize cooling performance. What it does:

  • Senses interior/evaporator temperature and sends a signal to the control board for temperature regulation.
  • Helps prevent erratic cooling, long run-times, or inconsistent compartment temperatures when operating correctly.
  • Faulty thermistors can contribute to excessive frost, failed defrost cycles, or compressor cycling issues.
  • Use when the existing sensor fails to report correct temperatures or the part number matches.
What's included: One thermistor sensor. Install notes:
  • Always disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock or damage.
  • The sensor is typically mounted on or near the evaporator or inside a cabinet wall; access may require removing panels or covers.
  • Handle the sensor and wiring harness gently; avoid pulling on wires or bending the sensor element.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave would not microwave   Richard E. • Cape Coral , FL • January 05, 2020

Replaced the Humidity sensor, Thermistor and door switches. I replaced these thinking the problem was one of the items but didn't want to trial and error one part at a time. Plus the cost was reasonable so if these didn't help I wasn't out a lot of money. I sense the door switch was the problem. Replaced all items and the microwave works great.
