I replaced the evaporator fan after using a steam gun to defrost the evaporator and ensuring the drain wasn't clogged. After assembling, I noticed the refrigerator wasn't performing a defrost cycle. After testing the heater, I determined the main board relay was malfunctioning and not supplying the voltage to the heater. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The refrig was too warm   Michael F. • Belvidere , IL • September 02, 2016

When I looked on the Appliance Parts Pro website it said the usual fix for a refrig that is not cooling is to replace the defrost thermostat in the freezer. I didn't see how that would keep the refrig from cooling but I figured I would try it. Got the part yesterday ( two days shipping which was great!). I took the panel off the back of the freezer and the coils were all covered in solid ice! it took me an hour with a heat gun to melt the ice. I changed the defrost thermostat and now the... After we saw that progressively our dishes were not getting clean we investigated the condition of the spray arms and this upper feed tube assembly. We found a huge crack on the side of this piece and new not enough water was getting to the arms. We also noticed a build up of soap and lime. So we ran a cycle of vinegar and sprayed the filters and arms with lime-off-sprayed them out with a air hose "completely". Many of the small pieces of lime will clog the holes in the spray arms. Electrode
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W11165163

The Electrode is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. It is responsible for detecting the moisture levels in your laundry during the drying cycle, allowing the dryer to automatically adjust the drying time and temperature. It helps prevent over-drying or under-drying of your clothes, saving energy and protecting them from potential damage.

A bad electrode can occur due to wear and tear, damage, or a buildup of debris or lint. If you notice symptoms such as clothes taking longer to dry, the dryer shutting off prematurely, or inconsistent drying results, it may be time to replace the moisture sensor bar electrode.

Symptoms of a bad electrode include:

  • Clothes taking longer to dry than usual
  • The dryer shutting off prematurely
  • Inconsistent drying results, with some items remaining damp

Repair your dryer by replacing the faulty or damaged electrode with this genuine OEM part.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
