Broken ice dispenser actuator, rusty front plate, bad fridge door switch Michael A. • Garnerville , NY • August 06, 2020
My problem started with a rusting condition in the ice bin that spiraled out of hand. I took apart the ice bin and all the hardware thinking I could clean it with the suggested baking powder. Plastic parts cleaned up like new, metal parts were pitted. I wire brushed and sanded the parts put it all back together and gave it a try. All appeared fine then two days later the ice dispenser stopped. I watched a couple of videos and most pointed to the ice auger motor. One video specifically said you...

Genuine Whirlpool part

Part Number: WP22003993
The Dryer Timer Knob is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. It allows users to set the drying time and cycle, providing control over the dryer's operation. This knob fits securely onto the timer shaft, and it allows for the selection of the desired drying cycle and time.
Color: White with Blue Trim
Cap Sold Separately
Over time, wear and tear, excessive force when turning, or accidental impact can cause the timer knob to crack, loosen, or lose its grip on the timer shaft. This makes it difficult to select and maintain accurate drying cycles.
Symptoms of a faulty Dryer Timer Knob include:
- Difficulty turning the knob to select the desired cycle
- Knob slipping or turning loosely
- Cracks, breaks, or missing parts
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00414825
The Vent Control Button is an OEM component specifically designed for select Bosch downdraft ventilation ranges. Pressable from the countertop, its reliable switch operates the vent position. Precise guidance aligns ductwork airflows.
Symptoms of a faulty control button may include intermittent or unresponsive vent movement. Over-activation degrades contacts requiring change.
Causes of a bad button relate to typical contact wear reducing conductivity. Splashes introduce moisture necessitating replacement over time.
Causes of a bad vent control button involve:
- Vents remaining stuck open exposing grease-laden air
- Closed vents trapping cooking emissions near surfaces
- Failure to change vent direction as needed
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with some Thermador, Dacor, and Viking downdraft ventilation ranges. Replace to maintain convenient vent management directing smoke and odors safely outdoors.

Broken downdraft switch James S. • Sunnyvale , CA • May 03, 2018
Found replacing the switch to be doable, but it was quite a delicate operation. This was for a Thermador range with a broken downdraft switch. It required the removal of 5 small screws which could easily be fumbled and dropped down where it would be difficult, if not impossible to retrieve. Two of the screws were facing the back, so it was a blind operation to remove and replace the screws. Required an offset screwdriver, as space was tight. So, be EXTREMELY careful to not drop the screws and...

Broken fascia on Bosch dishwasher. Jerry's W. • Washougal , WA • November 19, 2017
The old fascia had broken and been torn off. I should have saved the buttons from it, but I didn't know that I'd be repairing it - I figured I would have to replace the unit. Well, money is tight, so I got the model number from the unit and looked up parts online. I couldn't find the exact model number on this site, but the picture of the fascia looked just like the picture in my manual, so I bought it, a handle strip, and a new set of buttons.
I pulled the stainless panel off the front, then...

Microwave blew line fuse Gerald G. • St. Louis , MO • August 05, 2019
It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. I replaced the worn bracket (AP6230612) as well as the plastic latch mechanism (AP4553585) on the door that engages this bracket (and of course the fuse too) and the microwave now...
