The Control Knob is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool gas ranges. It is the manually operated rotary component that selects cooking features and temperature settings on the stovetop burners. Measures about 2 inches in diameter. For white order WP8273104. For biscuit order WP8273106.
Causes of a bad control knob include normal wear of internal components over extensive cooking cycles. Stripping or deterioration of the knurled gripping surface also reduces functionality.

Replaced above parts, easy to do, looks like a new stove. Needed to pry open knob stem slot segments very slightly to remove broken plastic from previous knobs. Spreading stem slot metal sides too much and they will break. With slots cleaned out, pinch stem sides almost together for new knobs to slide on. This is a clear plastic door shelf bin designed to hold bottles and containers on the inside of a refrigerator door.
