One of the suspension rods was not working so I replaced the bad one and the other three . Tub has now leveled out and is spinning properly without making the noise. The Dishrack Track (Right) is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It is responsible for supporting the third-level dishrack and allowing it to glide in and out smoothly during the loading and unloading process. This track is designed specifically for the right side of the third-level rack.
Causes of a bad track include damage from heavy use over time, such as dulling or bending of the metal track surface from repeated loading/unloading of dishes. Debris or residue buildup along the track can also cause issues.
Symptoms of a bad track include:
- Rack that will not fully extend or retract
- Binding or sticking during rack movement
- Rack that will not stay positioned above
