Front facia panel for dishwasher control interface. Houses buttons, display, and indicators. Replace if cracked, broken, or mounting tabs damaged.
I ordered a new Panel/Facia and bought replacement buttons just to be safe. All were pretty easy, but two things to BE CAREFUL about that are important. First, watch the videos about how to remove and replace the facia panel because if you do it improperly you will easily break the plastic tabs and be screwed. Secondly, The five-button MUST BE INSTALLED IN THE RIGHT ORDER. They are different from each other and the DW will not work if you don't notice that, they have letters that are... Read more

Ordered a new Oven Control unit and an Overlay (ours was punctured in a few places -- old and brittle). Opened the stovetop and removed some screws from the front control panel area. Followed the advice from Appliance Parts Pros' video to take a photo of the locations of all the connections on the old panel before removal -- that was an instrumental step to the success of this project! The whole job took just over an hour. Now the over controls and timers work like new -- because they are!... Read more

Replaced Case Water Filter assembly DA81-05883A. Please read my post entirely before starting. I completed all the tasks that I could without having to disconnect the refrigerator since it was full of food. First I removed the panel on top of the refrigerator that covers the water line that feeds the dispenser. Do not disconnect any electrical connections or the water line at this time. Remove the panel from the back bottom of the refrigerator that covers the compressor and water valve,... Read more
Washer stops mid-spin or shows F6E1 error? The motor control board regulates drive motor speed and direction. Most DIYers replace it in 15-30 minutes.
On-line chat with AppliancePartsPros told me the error code was was for motor speed and they sent me a .pdf file on what to do to T/S it. Following the sheet I checked motor and Tack resistance and wiring - all OK, so I ordered a Motor Controller Ckt board assy. It arrived in 24 hours, during that time i watched the replacement videos and removed the old part. Upon receiving the new part I installed it (15 min), tested the washer (it worked), then put all the panels back on, pushed the washer... Read more

Fix an oven that won't heat or bake element not working. This relay control board receives signals from the main control board. DIY repair under 1 hour.
Andrew helped me trouble shoot the problem. First I replaced the elments but that did not fix the problem. When I spoke with Andrew he told me how to test the OHMS on the new and old element and they were both readying 26 OHMS. I then replaced the control panel for the clock and oven controls. This did not fix the problem. The next step was to replace the relay boards. We placed numbers on the wires (~30) to avoid confusion. Taking notes also helped. Replacing both relay swithces took... Replaces cracked, dented, or worn oven control panel with faded graphics. Restores clean interface for keypads and displays. Essential when original is damaged.
After an over spill on the range one day, half the buttons on our control panel no longer worked. Well the bake button worked so we kept using that and only using the oven on 350 degrees for almost a year. Well, finally the bake button went the way of the others and the oven would not turn on due to the buttons not working. We bought the Control Panel Part and traded it out. It was a very simple fix...figuring out how to get the built in oven out was harder than this replacement. I think... Read more
Dishwasher won't start, stops mid-cycle, or shows error codes? This electronic control board manages all cycles and functions. Moderate DIY repair.
All of the repairs were incredibly easy, however the experience might be different for everyone. My skills and background experience make troubleshooting and repairing fairly easy for me. I began the journey by troubleshooting out some of the peripherals such as the float mechanism and door latch switch by using a multimeter to ohm them out. I then moved towards the thermostat and turbinator. I measured the resistance on the thermostat and it seemed to be fine. I then cleaned the turbinator... Read more

Clear plastic door cover for the dairy or butter compartment on your refrigerator door. Replace cracked, broken, or missing lids. Installs in minutes.
Ordered new compartment door and replaced it in about 2 minutes. Suggest that owners of similar refrigerators move the compartment one notch down on the door so when the compartment door is left open and the refrigerator door is closed the comp. door does not come into contact with the refrig. interior light housing. Used kitchen knife blade to disengage hinge on either side of the compartment. This website was the only one I could find that had a cross index good enough to find my... Read more
