Ge gas range double oven lower oven would not ignite Susan L. • Rochester , NY • May 18, 2015
Removed bottom flame cover in lower oven to find the ignitor was actually broken into pieces. We assume it exploded because the bottom side of the cover had a hole blown in it and had to be hammered flat. Before it totally stopped working we had experienced a number of instances where the GFI kicked out when the oven was preheating.
Order the GE specific replacement part from Appliance Parts Pros which arrived promptly. The replacement was fairly simple...being careful not to damage the new...

Intermitten mini explosions in the oven when trying to use Jerry L. • Canton , GA • December 28, 2015
Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years...

My son advised that my Amana LG3412W suddenly developed the "no heat" syndrome William S. • Tulsa , OK • September 11, 2018
After verifying the no heat problem myself, I just googled "LG3412W no heat" with my smartphone and thumb. One of the first hits was the Appliance Parts Pros website with a list of 8 possible parts that might fix this problem, listed in descending order of likelihood of success. With 3 adults worth of dirty laundry piling up and straining our ability to drip dry, I had to agonize over:
1) buying a new dryer from whatever a local dealer had in stock, then clearing years of valuable junk in...

Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 139013700
The Ignitor is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire gas ranges. Located near the burner heads, this component is responsible for generating the electric spark required to light stove top burners.
Symptoms of a faulty ignitor include:
- Burners that will not light or only light intermittently
- Clicking noises but no flame ignition
- Diminished or no spark from the ignitor itself
Causes of ignitor failure can be an accumulation of deposits over many heating cycles. Physical damage from pots/pans is also possible. As electrical parts, ignitors have a limited lifespan depending on range usage.
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Gas oven inginiter needed replacing Keith P. • Cambridge , VT • January 20, 2017
Removed the bottom tin work in the oven and removed the burner tube. Tried to remove the igniter bracket but the screws were too tight for the Phillips head and couldn't get vice grips to clamp on the head, so I bent the bracket enough to remove and replace the igniter. Then reassembled.
I give AppliancePros.com a 5 star rating. Site was easy to use, the part was delivered in under 2 days, and it was the correct part packaged carefully so the igniter was protected from breaking.

Genuine Speed Queen part
By: Speed Queen
Part Number: D510184P
This is an igniter and bracket assembly, and it is intended for use in dryers. This is a genuine replacement part made by Speed Queen. The igniter is connected to the dryer on the back of the appliance, and it is used to heat the drying tub. A new igniter and bracket assembly might be needed if the dryer is unable to reach the correct temperature. If the heat in the dryer seems inconsistent during any drying cycle the igniter might be bad and will need to be replaced. For this repair the user will need access to the back of the appliance. Be sure the dryer is completely powered down and cooled before attempting to repair. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer, and it is sold individually. It is compatible with Dryers made by Speed Queen.

Weak spark on right side burners causing them to not light Joseph Z. • Country Club Hills , IL • October 24, 2016
This is a Montgomery Ward gas range made by Tappan. Parts are no longer offered for this appliance. So, I had to eyeball various ignitors to determine which one would work. I settled on the least expensive one and ordered two (Just in case there were "issues"). The parts arrived quickly but were not a simple drop-in replacement. The new ones were longer and smaller in diameter. I had to use the original bracket because it provided the electrical ground for the spark. I used a spring to...

Bake element in gas stove took longer and longer to light then never gets up to temp Eric T. • Prineville , OR • February 21, 2015
Replaced ingniter. Unlike some of the repair videos I saw, I could do everything by removing the lower draw, and in fact access from the back of the stove was not an option on my Amana. Pulling the stove out and fussing around turned a likely ten minute job in to a twenty minute. Unit work great, now I just need to keep tabs on the broiler igniter, which may be on the way out as well.
