Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Top broil element burned out   Susan W. • Saint Charles , MO • October 29, 2016

I watched a few video's online to see how others had fixed it, then I tried to do research on the element part number. Appliance Parts Pro's were very helpful. I had to submit my model number off the stove/oven and a very helpful Customer service rep named Dannette from APP sent my pictures to their research dept. The first try was not an exact match since my oven is much older, but upon a little more research on the internet by me, I determined the correct replacement part number. Dannette... Read more

Wiring Harness
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304521699

The Wiring Harness is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. As the complex network distributes power throughout the cabinet, this harness is crucial for seamless communication between electrical parts. Its bundled cables provide synchronized functioning of all refrigerator operations.

Symptoms of a faulty wiring harness can include:

  • Lights, fans, or features randomly activating or shutting off
  • Door open or cooling light failure despite replacement of lightbulbs
  • Intermittent buzzing, humming, or crackling sounds from wires
  • Water leaks or blown fuses due to short circuits from damaged insulation

Causes involve normal insulation breakdown from years of vibration, heat cycling, and flexing stress. Rodent damage or pinched/cut wires may also disrupt circuits.

Replace it with this genuine Frigidaire harness to restore a consolidated and durable part, avoiding further diagnostics and piecemeal replacements down the line. Compatible with some Electrolux, Gibson, and Kenmore models.

I removed the cardboard cover on the back of the fridge with a 1/4 inch nut driver. I disconnected all of the wire harness connections. There were a total of 6 or 7. I removed the bolts on the compressor so I could access the ground wires behind the compressor. I removed the ground wires behind the compressor as well as the ones in front of the compressor. I installed the new power harnesss. The connections were easy to do since you can only hook them up one way and they are color coded. I... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The oven's main heating coil shorted out   Brian L. • Phoenix , AZ • June 20, 2017

Searched the internet for a replacement and ordered it from APP and it arrived quickly. Removed three screws holding the original heating element in and disconnected the spade connectors and pulled out the old element. The spade connectors were a bit loose, so I tightened them up with a pair of pliers and re-installed the new element. Oven works great now.
