I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. I ordered a large sized bin and bin frame for the refrigerator. The hardest part of ordering the 2 parts was trying to figure out the right bin and frame to order. There weren't any specific dimensions listed for the parts, just a diagram with a grid. Thankfully, I guessed right. Removed door and replaced bottom bearing. Read more

Easy fix. Took two screws out of top door hinge. Lifted door off of bottom hinge. Laid door on blanket on floor. One cam part went on the hinge that was on the fridge, snapped in place. One cam part went on bottom of door, one screw to replace. Replaced door on bottom hinge then put top hinge back on. Job done. Read more

The very easy diagnosis was motor seizure. Because the machine is about a decade old, I decided to renovate most of the guts. My DIY project included replacing the motor, blower, drum bearing, belt, and door hinge. The end result is a functional dryer with no left-over parts.
