• Door won't close

My GE dryer from the late 80's/early 90's was squealing when it would start up, belt or bearing I was thinking. I found a manual online that covered my model and I watched a video on this site that showed me how to take it all apart, mine was a bit different but the principles were the same. I took it apart and added some quick-disconnects to 2 wires so next time I can take the front panel off easily. Replaced the cheap plastic lever supporter with another LG OEM cheap plastic lever supporter. I should have bought two as I can see this problem happening again. Job was a simple fix and only required a Phillips head screwdriver. I did not need to remove any connections as there was enough room and wire to pull out the oven control assembly and make the repair. As a homeowner, I love that I can just type my model number into Appliance Parts Pros website and find a listing/diagram of the entire unit. So when my dispenser on my dishwasher broke, I just ordered a new one. I use You Tube to watch videos on the specific repair, and then VOILA! I do the repair myself, saving at least a hundred dollars in a repair persons service call charge! Bought the replacement dispenser from APPros.com (of course). The video shows a front control panel, and our dishwasher has the 'hidden' control panel on the top of the door. So here's the difference: 1) You need to take out all the screws, except the two near the latch at the top. The other video shows only taking out the bottom six screws because the remainder of the screws hold the front control panel. After finding the model number for my dishwasher, I looked on line for the part and ordered it. The part arrived next day. I was a little hesitant to tackle it myself, as I am a 67 year old female. However I decided I could do it and was all set until I found out that I needed a Torx screwdriver. This however was not going to stop me. • Won't start

After searching for hours online, I finally found a you tube video called: Diagnose & Repair a Bad Latch on a Frigidaire Dishwasher (GLD2250RDC4) . • Will not fill with water

After watching the YouTube video provided by Appliancepartspros and checking various forums I determined the dispenser motor had gone out. Turns out, it was a two part problem. The connectors to the motor, and the motor had corroded. Cleaned them both with vinegar. The old motor did a load before I started having problems with the CCU. I replaced the part by popping off the plastic frame and removing several easily-accessable screws. Three small electrical plugs had to be popped off too. It was a very simple repair. The Sears guy wanted $395 total for the repair, and I did it myself for the price of the part on this site (around $90). Very pleased! Read more

Replaced it with the part I ordered from you guys. I had originally had LG come and check it out but they quoted me a price 250 plus tax. • Door won't close

I chatted with a rep on Appliance Parts Pros and found out which parts I needed for my model of dryer. Ordered the 2 clips that held the door closed. They arrived the next day!! My dryer was very different than the video but we were able to figure out which screws to remove. The old clips popped out and the new ones popped in. Took about 30 minutes because of there being a top and bottom clip to remove and replace and line up the door parts to screw the screws back in. It works great!! I... Read more

Flat screwdriver. Pry cover latch off. It has two snaps. I was able to get it off without breaking it. Replace latch icebox door. Snap cover latch back on. Five minutes being very careful. Read more
