I ordered the French door housing, the new piece has a solid raised curved part that enters the guide, and a new center hinge. I watched both repair videos shown on appliance parts Pro. It looked pretty simple, so I got my 2 screw drivers and unplugged the refrigerator and started. The hardest part was removing the upper and lower hinges. I originally called a local repair company. After waiting a week they told me they were unable to get the part and that it was back ordered!! I asked them to give me the part numbers...at which point he said..."you won't find them"! My husband expected we needed a new dishwasher but I insisted on trying to fix it first. You need a Torx screwdriver so make sure you have a set. A little difficult to get cover back on and lined up by myself, but I managed and this was my first attempt at major appliance repair. I replaced the entire console and the dispenser. Did lots of internet research. Narrowed problem down to three things - door lock latch, control unit, and motor control unit. Figured out how to run the diagnostic test program, which showed a F22 (door lock) error. Removed and ohm tested the door lock (pins 1 & 3). We ordered a door switch, dryer latch and strike plate. We realized that we only needed to replace the door switch. We watched a few videos and then replaced the switch. We couldn’t find a video for our model but they did give us a pretty good idea about what we needed to do. The hardest part was getting the original door switch out, all of the videos we watched showed us that it would pop out with a little pressure from a flat head screw driver, from the front of the switch. The dryer is 10 years old. I replaced all 4 roller wheels. While I had it apart I also replaced the drive belt and the idler pulley assembly. Once I had it apart I did find 2 wheels that were very worn, (1 front, 1 back) which is what I believe the problem was as they were also very hard to spin. Dryer works like new now.
