I replaced both the solenoid (part of the inlet valve kit) and the pressure sensor. Online research suggested my intermittent issue with the cold water fill being just a trickle and then causing an error was likely due to one or both of those two parts failing. Looked up possible causes on line and found video about trouble shooting. It said to check starter cap and run relay on side of compressor. Removed both and found both were bad .ordered replacements on line from appliancePartspros.com. Installed new parts and is working properly. This repair job was on a 2012 Frigidaire refrig. Purchased a new starter and compressor run capacitor. Unplugged appliance from wall outlet. removed clip that holds these item in place. unplugged starter from compressor and from electrical wiring. plugged capacitor into starter, then plugged the electrical connection into assembly. I replaced the cycle switch, fixing the lack of heat. The timer switch replacement fixed the auto cool down. I watched a cycle switch replacement on Youtube, demonstrating removal of the top console, which answered the only question I had about the repair. The timer switch was a hundred bucks. I spoke with the experts at parts pro and they suspected the main power board. I ordered the main power board along with the control panel. Since I was taking everything apart I decided to replace other components as well- thermostats, thermistor , sensor wire. When I was all done the old LG was back to working like new. I thought initially it was a hose because it was leaking water from the bottom. On the small and medium load it didn't leak. I watched it on the large setting and noticed the water didn't shut off initially so therefore it was over filling. I ordered a switch pressure switch from Appliance Parts Pros and received it in two days. I replaced the switch, put the washer together and now it works like new. I was searching the web for solutions and came across two folks who had similar trouble code. One fixed his by removing the pump strainer from the pump to find coins blocking water flow, thus the analog water pressure sensor provided a failure response. My issue was solved by following the other hints I got. I ordered a new sensor (switch). It was expensive for what it is, but the washer will not run correctly without it! Looked for obvious signs of mal-function, burned wires, etc. I found that the compressor controller(attached to the compressor) had an obvious burned-out spot. Took a chance that was the problem (it was); ordered all new OEM parts, including a new timer and run capacitor (a part that kicks in every time the compressor starts). Took access panel off the back of the refrigerator with 1/4 inch nut driver and found that the compressor was not running properly (humming and hot but not compressing). Removed fill level pressure switch knob. Removed three screws from the back of the control panel.Opened the control panel and removed electrical connector and plastic tube from the pressure switch. Removed and replaced pressure switch. Placed control panel to correct position and replaced the three screws. Read more
