Remove the 4 top star-head screws on the back side of door and loosen the next 2 lower screws on both sides of door about half way (loosening lower screws allows for easier access when installing new control panel) 2.) Opened up door panel, unplugged ribbon cable from old keypad and plugged in new keypad without installing just to verify keypad was the problem. Start button on new keypad worked so I then removed old keypad which is basically just like peeling off a sticker. Next step was to remove leftover adhesive using solvent. We replaced the thermal fuse as recommended by Appliance Parts Pros as 59% the problem and since it was only a $20 part we decided it was worth changing. We also replaced the touch pad /control panel for $160 (not the entire control component). We also discovered once the dishwasher was apart that the door latch was broken. I had not ordered a new door latch so we able to use Gorilla Glue to repair the door latch. After these repairs the dishwasher is working again but we are not sure which of... Read more

We removed six screws, unplugged two sets of wires. With the new control panel we plugged in the two wires, put the cover back on and screwed the six screws back in. Simple, just an extra hand to hold in place is all you need. Read more

I ordered a new Panel-Control. The old one was removed easily by taking out six screws. The old panel lifted, then tilted out. The electronic circuit board was disconnected and attached to the new panel. My new panel did not want to fit in properly at first. The bottom of the panel contained two alignment tabs that the old panel did not have. The stainless steel front panel needed to be cut on top under these tabs for the control panel to properly seat.
