We pulled the oven out installed the new light assembly and put it on. Although the faceplate didn't cover the entire panel because the original was no longer available, it covered the necessary parts and looks WAY BETTER! The interesting thing about the light assembly is that we had a repair technician come to the house and they said it would be too costly to fix and they probably would not be successful, so we didn't move forward. Our microwave is mounted over the range, and has dual lights underneath that light up the range. A while back in trying to replace burned out bulbs, one of the bulbs broke and in trying to remove the rest of the bulb from the socket, I accidentally destroyed the socket.
