Range hood light won't stay on or flickering? Loose or melted light socket is often the cause. This socket assembly plugs into the main harness. 5-minute fix.
I pulled out the wiring harness for the bulb and really inspected the sockets. (The wire connections on one of the sockets were really loose and the inside of that socket was a little melted.) I replaced the light wiring harness and sockets. It was a really simple fix. I turned off the power to the range hood at the breaker box first. I removed the filters and the light bulbs. Very easy to fix, removed exhaust grill to get to motor, removed cotter pin for fan blade that is attached to motor, pulled down on fan blade to remove. Then there are four small mounting bolts, loosened them, unplugged motor, and took it out, that easy. Installed new motor. Read more
