It took a few of us. One to vacuum up the fire extinguisher residue. One to trip the breaker. One to provide light. One to clean out under the stove while it was pulled out. I ordered one set that had exact measurements, and they even explained how the measurements are taken. But the trays were larger than described by 3/8 inch, and I had to pay shipping to return them. Easy fix. Both elements replaced while I was at it, so all new. Figured if one went the other was going to follow. CIRCUIT BREAKER OFF. Removed the back metal panel with my nut driver for the hex head screws. Note where the panel may slip under tabs for support. Remove slip on electrical connections on upper and lower elements. May need a pliers. (I did not want to just pull the element and the wires into the oven with the element and remove them there, like a technician would do. After 15... Read more

I removed the door, mostly so we could really clean the all the nooks and cranny's of the stove, and make the handle and gasket replacement easier. Attaching the new handle was not difficult, but did require some minor door dis-assembly. Removing the old gasket and putting on the new gasket was a breeze. The hardest part of the job was putting the door back onto the stove, but we got it done and the stove looks and works great. Read more

Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. I was able to find the model number on the lower right hand side of the range/oven, a GE True Temp. I Googled it to find parts, and thought I had found the correct sensor, but was very pleased that the ApplianceParts sire suggested I check compatability again before the order. I would have ordered the wrong sensor kit other wise. I DID get the correct one order. It arrived on time. Replaced the large burner control switches for the ones giving trouble. Since the other two switches had seen as much use as the faulty ones, replaced them too. After putting in new switches, found that one large burner had burned out so replaced it also. Range now cooks as good as new Read more

Called Appliance Parts - service agent was extremely helpful. Tried to find an assembled piece was unable to do so. Send me the individual parts which were very easy to assemble. Was able to replace entire light assembly, reconnect wire with new terminal end. Light works find just now. Would definitely call again if I needed assistance. Read more

Took top apart to find out that the problem was just the lens for the light was broken. Come to find out that the lens is what holds the light in place. When the lens broke the light fell down into the base of the cooktop. I bought a light and lens but for the price I could not go wrong. I cannot believe how fast and easy my order was handled!!
