The Door Switch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire wall ovens. It is a component located on the oven door that detects when the door is opened and closed. The door switch works alongside the control board to regulate oven operations based on door position.
Symptoms of a bad door switch can include:
Causes relate to normal wear over extended use as the door switch mechanism cycles with frequent door openings and closings. Moisture exposure or impacts could also degrade switch performance.
This OEM Frigidaire switch is compatible with Amana, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, and some Electrolux wall oven models as well.
I diagnosed this problem via the web and the advice was spot on. The problem was a failure of the bottom door switch. I used a multimeter to verify that the switched never closed properly. It took me a minute to figure out how to remove the old switch (press a release tab under the switch while simultaneously rotating counter-clockwise). That was about the most difficult part of the repair. Read more
Replacement end cap that finishes the exposed end of your microwave door handle. Restores appearance when cracked, broken, or missing. Secures handle components.
Replaced top and bottom plastic piece between s.s. handle bar and door. Very quick and easy. A bit pricey, but worth it. Read more
Replacement spring for microwave door latch mechanism. Restores return tension so the latch engages and releases correctly. Needed when spring is broken or worn.

If your microwave runs but doesn't heat food, the magnetron likely failed. This part generates the microwave energy. Moderate DIY repair, 1-2 hours.
This was a total novice job which will be apparent: Managed not to kill myself getting the microwave off the wall over the stove. disassembled the housing and watched youtube videos on discharging the capacitor (there has got to be an easier way than trying to cause an explosion). Fortunately it had difused and no sparks touching the terminals. Removed the diode and capacitor and checked both with non-digital voltmeter. Both appeared dead but it is possible the capacitor was okay since you... Read more
Replacement glass turntable tray for your microwave. Installs on the rotating support to hold food during cooking. Replace if cracked, chipped, or broken.
A phone call to your company where a very helpful sales associate took the information I gave him including the model number of my Microwave oven. He assured me the one he recommended would be the correct size--and it was!! The item came to my address in 2 days in perfect condition and I washed it and placed it on the turntable. Couldn't have been easier, I just wish I'd done it sooner because trying to use a plate from another used Microwave oven was not successful! A very satisfied... Read more
Microwave not heating but humming loudly? A failed high-voltage diode is often the cause. This rectifier converts AC to DC for the magnetron circuit.
We had a problem with the magnetron a few years ago while it was still under warranty so they sent me a new magnetron but when the repairman showed up he had a new one also and said just keep it as a spare (no charge). It's an over-the-range microwave so taking it down takes a little bit of an effort, cumbersome more than anything. Got it down to my work bench, took off the housing, checked to make sure the capacitor was discharged, removed the capacitor (diode is attached to it) and... Read more
Replacement end cap that finishes and secures the open end of your microwave handle. Restores a clean appearance when the original cap is cracked or missing.
Needles to say I was furious. The thing is practically new. I went online and ordered the parts ,they arrived in two days. Any sensible person would have looked to see if this was a job hey could do before ordering parts. I always go to How-to online to find out how to fix things , sure enough there was a shower video showing how to take the microwave door apart. I followed directions, got the door off and replaced the handle within an hour. SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!!! Read more
This is a high voltage capacitor used in the microwave's magnetron circuit. It stores and releases electrical energy to help power the magnetron, which generates the microwaves that heat food. Replace this capacitor if the microwave runs but does not heat, hums loudly without cooking, or if the capacitor has visibly bulged or leaked. Always discharge the capacitor before handling, as it can retain a dangerous charge even when unplugged.
Replaced the magnetron and high voltage capacitor. I tried replacing only the diode (rectifier) first with no luck. I hope this is helpful. Read more
Replacement mounting screw secures panels, trim, and components in microwaves. Needed when original screws are stripped, missing, or lost during repairs.
I ordered a replacement handle from Appliance Parts Pro.com and installed it after watching the video at their site for a similar model. The video told of the trick on removing the door surround that allowed me to access the handle screws. I purchased new handle screws at the same time I bought the new handle. The new handle and screws were a bit different than the original but fit perfectly. Hopefully it will be more durable than the original handle. Read more
Replacement mounting screw that secures panels, trim, and internal components in microwaves and wall ovens. Needed when screws are stripped, missing, or lost.
Microwave won't turn on, made popping noise, or smells like burned electrical? The noise filter often fails when solder joints arc or short out.
When using the microwave it made a frying sound and completely stopped working. Took cover off (after unplugging) and found filter coil solder joints fried. Took a chance on replacing filter. Works perfectly now. Looking at the solder joints again, under magnification, discovered they were not done properly in the first place. Use caution with cover off, there is a capacitor near the filter that could prove dangerous. Also need tamper proof torx bit to remove 2 of the cover screws, or small... Read more
This is a replacement light bulb for the interior cavity of a microwave oven. It illuminates the cooking area so you can monitor food while it heats. Replace this bulb if the interior light no longer turns on when the door is opened or during operation, and you have confirmed the bulb socket and wiring are functioning properly.
Change bulb. I had to move the microwave from the wall disassemble the unit and remove some internal parts to access and change the bulb. Read more
The refrigerator nameplate displays model information, specifications, and regulatory compliance details, typically mounted on the interior wall or back panel. Replace when the nameplate becomes illegible, damaged, or detached, affecting warranty coverage or service identification.
This is a black plastic lens and frame assembly that covers the interior lamp on a microwave oven. It protects the light bulb from grease and moisture while diffusing light inside the cooking cavity. Replace this lens if it is cracked, yellowed, melted, or missing, which can leave the bulb exposed to splatter and reduce interior illumination.
