"welded" venturi tube missing o rings broken gas line James F. • San Diego , CA • April 10, 2016
My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. The repair was difficult b/c most of the parts are no longer available. But then I found a ray-of-hope.
I was able to find some Jennair (Maytag) parts but they are scarce. Later I found...

The Potentiometer is an OEM replacement part for Bosch gas range or cooktops. It functions as a three-terminal resistor that adjusts the flow of electric current, which in turn, controls the ignition and temperature of the cooktop. This component is essential for the precise operation and control of the gas burners, ensuring they light up and maintain the desired flame intensity.
Causes of a malfunctioning Potentiometer can be attributed to wear and tear, electrical issues, or damage due to spills and cleaning products. A compromised potentiometer affects the flow of electric current, leading to issues with the ignition and temperature control of the gas burners.
Symptoms of a bad Potentiometer include:
- The cooktop not lighting or staying lit
- The ignitor continuously clicking without igniting the burner
- Inability to adjust the flame intensity or temperature accurately
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

One burner on my thermador cooktop (pcs484ccus) would not light Kinn K. • Haslet , TX • June 08, 2015
After watching a youtube video, I disassembled the front cover on the cooktop (be sure to turn off the power supply). I then switched the potentiometers on two burners. The burner that was not working now worked and the burner that did work did not. Easy to find the culprit....ordered a new potentiometer from here and though I only got regular shipping, it was actually delivered the NEXT DAY! 5 minutes, put in the new part, and all burners work. Great site, thanks for the help!

Symptoms of a compromised Igniter Mounting Clip include:
- The surface igniter becoming loose or dislodged
- Difficulty in igniting the burner or uneven flames
- Noisy or irregular ignition sounds
- Visible signs of damage or corrosion on the clip
This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

Bought a Thermador PRSE48" dual fuel range from Craigslist really cheap because it didn't work. Did a little research and decided to overhaul most of the top (gas) end. For what I paid for it it was worth it and I'd have a good stove with new components. Replaced the griddle thermostat, ignition micro switches, ignition re-igniter box, installed fixing kit with 2 new potentiometers, both solenoids, and gas regulator. The Spark Ignition Switch is an OEM part for Bosch ranges and cooktops. It controls the ignition of surface burner flames by emitting an electrical spark when activated.
Causes of a bad switch can be general wear and fatigue over thousands of start cycles. Exposure to moisture, dust or metal debris could also damage electrical components internally.
Symptoms of a bad spark ignition switch include:
- Burners failing to light even when valves are turned on
- Intermittent or irregular lighting of some burners
- No electrical sparks emitted from the ignition electrode
This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

Thermador Pro Harmony gas range small oven was not heating Lisa B. • The Woodlands , TX • December 28, 2018
I replaced the igniter with a Frigidaire(Electrolux) part. The small oven on my Thermador Pro-Harmony Gas Range stopped heating (on Thanksgiving Day of course). I looked on the internet and I saw a video indicating it may be the igniter. I ordered both the Bosch igniter (00415504) and the Frigidaire (5303935066). Bosch and Thermador are the same company. The Bosch igniter looked like the existing Thermador except the connecting wires were too short. Therefore I used the Frigidaire/Electrolux...

Left rear variable simmer gas burner on thermador prg364glus stopped working David B. • Lincoln , NE • February 23, 2017
First and foremost, don't believe everything you see on Youtube. In order to get to the gas solenoid that feeds the burner you MUST take the entire top off that side of the range. Remove the grates and burner tops. You will see 2x 20mm brass nut, or so it appears, that hold each burner in place on the splash/drip pan. It is not just a nut, it is a venturi that threads down into what is called the jet holder. You may get a socket on it and think you are getting it loose but, more than likely you...
