This genuine OEM part is a cooktop grill burner. The grill burner is the component part that allows the gas flame to spark so that the stove can perform its job of cooking and heating. The one igniter switch turned out to be okay, but was not fully seated on the valve shaft. As to lighting off issues, the new burners helped, but the most improvement came from removing the burners and cleaning the orifices that supply gas to the burner tubes with a bit of fine wire.
