I researched what repair was needed (you can’t just replace the timer stem; you have to replace the entire timer. The timer part itself was about $82. I called my local repair place and they wanted to charge me almost $300 for the part, labor, and a service fee. So, I decided to try and fix it myself. There was a video on fix.com that I watched. I saw that I had all the tools I needs and the steps were pretty straightforward. When the part arrived, I had already removed the old timer and the new install was super easy.
