This motor retainer secures the motor to its mounting point, keeping the assembly tight and aligned. Replace a worn or broken retainer to cut vibration and noise and to protect nearby seals, wiring, and components. What it does:
- Holds the motor firmly in place within the assembly
- Maintains alignment for smooth, quiet operation
- Supports sealing surfaces and connections; on water-bearing assemblies, help prevent leaks
- Replace if you notice a loose or rattling motor, new vibration/noise, or signs of movement or leakage at the motor

- Includes 1 motor retainer.
Install notes:
- Disconnect power; turn off water supply.
- Access the motor area and support the motor before removing the old retainer.
- Inspect mating parts and seals; replace any damaged components.
- Fully seat the motor and install the new retainer securely; test for abnormal noise or leaks.

A former repair man deleted the grommets from the motor mount plate, the spring fastening the motor to the bracket broke the screw inside the motor and once the motor fell out of place the drive to the the transmission was broken.
