A replacement burner valve cover that protects and conceals the gas valve assembly on compatible ranges, helping keep valve components clear of spills and debris for more reliable burner operation. What it does:

  • Covers and protects the gas valve area from food, moisture and spills.
  • Helps prevent debris from interfering with valve knobs and internal valve parts.
  • Can reduce intermittent ignition or burner performance issues caused by contamination.
  • Restores the finished appearance around the valve for safer, cleaner operation.
What's included: One burner valve cover. Install notes:
  • Always shut off the gas supply and unplug the appliance before servicing.
  • Use basic hand tools; handle the valve area gently to avoid disturbing fittings or tubing.
  • After installation, check for gas leaks with a soapy-water solution or a proper leak detector—do not use an open flame.

This genuine OEM part is an oven safety valve for gas ovens. The oven safety valve is designed to prevent gas from flowing to the burner assembly if the igniter is not hot enough to ignite the gas, or if no electricity is present. Over time, an oven safety valve can become inoperable due to excessive wear and tear. If the oven is no longer heating properly, not turning on, or no longer working as powerfully as it once did, the oven safety valve will need to be replaced. To replace this part, start by unplugging the oven and shutting off the gas supply. After that, move the range away from the wall. Use a wrench to unthread the nut to remove the gas supply tube from the safety valve. Next, open the oven door to gain access to the interior of the oven. Release the hinge locks that secure the door and pull the door off the oven. Remove the oven racks and proceed to unthread the screws that secure the oven's bottom panel. Once removed, locate the safety valve. Next, unthread the screw that holds the mounting bracket into place. Remove the old safety valve and align the new valve with its mounting bracket. Attach the wires to the safety valve terminals and reinstall the bottom panel and oven door. This replacement part is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand ovens.
