This set of two slide shoes is a genuine OEM replacement parts-set for a snowblower. Slide shoes rest on the bottom of the auger housing and help it to glide smoothly against the ground. This lets the auger gather snow without the housing bumping up and down. Every snowblower has two slide shoes: one on each side of the auger housing. They are positioned so that the center openings face outwards. Slide shoes take a lot of abuse while sliding along the ground. Locate and remove the two screws on the side to drain the gearbox. Install the grease plug in the bottom. Refill the oil using the vent hole. Continue filling until oil is coming out the top side screw. Close everything back up, and the machine is ready for use. To prepare the equipment for long storage, remove the grease plug and check the oil level.
