Carburetors mix fuel with air to ensure the engine gets just the right amount of combustion. It works when idling and when in operation, and a chainsaw carburetor requires an adapter. This reduces vibration to the carb and isolates heat to help keep the carburetor cool. This carb adapter kit will connect the carburetor to the cylinder and uses a gasket on either side that can fail and require replacement. Because plastic can be used for a carb adapter, it can crack and lead to failure. This OEM carb adapter kit is meant for Craftsman, Poulan and Husqvarna chainsaws, and will work in many different models. Replacing it will require the use of a wrench set, socket set, pliers, and screwdriver. As noted, gaskets may also be needed, but this part is sold individually and includes only the chainsaw carb adapter.
