Venturi tube for gas ranges and cooktops. Mixes gas and air for proper burner combustion. Replace if cracked, corroded, or threads are damaged.
My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. Jet holder securely houses the orifice assembly on gas range burners. Replace if cracked, corroded, or heat-damaged. Ensures proper gas flow and ignition.
First and foremost, don't believe everything you see on Youtube. In order to get to the gas solenoid that feeds the burner you MUST take the entire top off that side of the range. Remove the grates and burner tops. You will see 2x 20mm brass nut, or so it appears, that hold each burner in place on the splash/drip pan.
