My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. I replaced the igniter with a Frigidaire(Electrolux) part. The small oven on my Thermador Pro-Harmony Gas Range stopped heating (on Thanksgiving Day of course). Fix a burner that won't light or sparks weakly with this gas cooktop igniter. Remove the burner cap and brass nut to access. Takes 5-10 minutes to install.
Appliance pros had the part. Incredibly, we received it the next day. They sent a confirming e mail with general instructions on how to replace it. Worked like a charm! Our's is a Bosch unit. The retaining brass nut in the center of the burner is an odd size-20 mm which I did not have among my many automotive metric tools. The local Auto Zone though had a 20 mm socket.
