This is the front-facing outer door panel for a trash compactor, featuring a stainless steel finish. It serves as the visible exterior surface of the compactor drawer, providing a clean and finished appearance. Replace this panel if it is dented, scratched, rusted, or otherwise cosmetically damaged.
You need to remove the entire compactor basket, so that can be a little unwieldy. There are 8 total Phillips head screws. Two on each side of the wrap-around portion of the panel, two on the bottom of the panel, and two larger screws that are used to hold the foot pedal in place. The two lower screws on the bottom of the panel also screw through the rubber stop strip on the bottom of the basket. This is a stainless steel overlay insert that covers the front control panel area of a trash compactor. It provides the finished exterior surface around the control buttons and gives the unit a clean, built-in appearance. Replace this insert if it is scratched, dented, discolored, or if the original panel overlay has become damaged or is peeling.
This latch assembly secures the trash compactor drawer in the closed position and engages the safety interlock that allows the compactor to operate. It mounts to the front of the compactor frame and connects to the door switch mechanism. Replace this part if the drawer will not latch shut, the compactor fails to start because it does not detect a closed door, or the latch mechanism is visibly broken or worn.

I bought new thrust races, a drive gear kit, bearings and a sprocket. When the bearing went out, the thrust races, washers, one bottom plate, and a sprocket was eaten up by the the chain due to the slack being created.
