Replacing the trim takes a little bit of alignment and light force. The trim slides over the glass panel of the door, with the glass sliding into plastic tabs. We kept the door nearly vertical (almost closed), lined up the tabs on the trim with the glass door, and used mild force to slide the trim down onto the glass door. Replaced the broken element with a new. They're held in by screws. I did take the back of the range off to disconnect the wires. Putting the back on the range was the hardest part of this project.
