This door-activated light switch installs in the refrigerator liner and opens or closes the circuit to the interior lamp as the door moves. It restores reliable, automatic on/off lighting when you open and close the door. What it does:
- Controls the interior light based on door position
- Helps fix a light that won't turn on with the door open
- Helps fix a light that stays on when the door is closed
- On some models, also signals door-ajar/dispenser interlock functions

Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the refrigerator before servicing
- The switch is typically in the door jamb; gently release and pull it out, then transfer wires one at a time to the new switch
- Match wire positions/orientation and seat the switch flush to prevent air leaks
- Test door operation and light before finalizing reassembly
