Viking Refrigerator Hose Or Tube
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 242220119
This refrigerator water tube carries fresh water between the valve, reservoir, dispenser, and/or ice maker. Replacing a cracked or kinked tube restores proper water flow and helps stop leaks inside or behind the refrigerator.
- Directs pressurized water between components in the refrigerator's water system
- Common failure signs: leaks, visible cracking, kinks, or pinhole sprays
- May cause no or slow dispenser flow, or an ice maker that doesn't fill
- Restores correct routing after tubing becomes brittle or damaged with age
What's included: 1 water tube Install notes:
- Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the household water supply before servicing
- Place a towel under connections and dispense water to relieve line pressure
- Depress quick-connect collars or loosen clamps to remove the old tube; route the new tube exactly like the original
- Fully seat tubing in fittings, perform a gentle tug test, restore water, check for leaks, and flush several cups to clear air

Did not notice any error code when getting water at the dispenser the pump made a rapid and loud hammering sound same sound when it was being solicited by the ice maker Denis O. • Norfolk , VA • April 12, 2025
First we tried to change the filter. Water was leaking from the area of the filter when we changed the filter. We purchased an "original" Fridgidaire filter, no change.
Did some research on the internet and decided to change the two tubes and the filter valve (at the back of the filter housing).
Must have been the right diagnostic and the right part to make the repair, Gave me an opportunity to clean the condenser coils as well. After 6 years of service they needed it badly.

We had a leak in the water line from the solenoid to the water filter. Ted W. • Lafayette , IN • December 27, 2021
The online video to change the water tube from the solenoid to filter was very helpful. It made the project straightforward.
I had to replace the water tank tube as well. It was more challenging because there was no video for my model refrigerator (Frigidaire French Door) but a side-by-side unit video provided enough hints. The hardest part was getting the tube into the tank housing. The original water tank was smaller than the replacement. It required some serious persuasion to squeeze...
