Weedeater Edger Transmission, Brake & Clutch

This is a gear set kit that is designed for use with many edgers for the lawn and garden. The gear set kit comes with various components that can be used as replacements when the gearbox is experiencing issues in the trimmer. In some cases, the durable metal gears can undergo wear and tear or become damaged. If the gears have worn, they may not make contact with other components, and the edger will not start or run properly. If this is occurring, the gear set kit can be used to replace the parts.A socket set and a small bearing puller are both useful for making the replacement on an edger. The blade will need to be removed, followed by the gear cover. Take out the bolt that holds the clutch hub and drive gear together. Remove these from the case and pull the bearings off. At this point, the old drive gear can be replaced with components from the kit.This kit is sold as a single unit.
