This gear set kit includes the gears needed for the edger attachment on a string trimmer. The gears transfer rotational power from the drive shaft to the edger blade, allowing it to cut cleanly along sidewalks and driveways. Replace this kit if the edger blade no longer spins, makes grinding noises, or the gears appear stripped or worn.
