Description

This compressor start device (5SP) helps your refrigerator's compressor start reliably and can resolve clicking/no-start issues. Replacing a weak start device may restore cooling performance and eliminate repeated clicking from the compressor area. What it does:

• Provides PTC-assisted start to the compressor, then disengages the start circuit after startup
• Helps safeguard the compressor by interrupting the start circuit under abnormal current/heat conditions
• Failure symptoms can include: refrigerator not cooling, compressor won't start and clicks every few seconds, or intermittent cooling/short cycling

Includes: 1 start device assembly Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Access the compressor compartment; remove the cover/retainer and note wire locations
• Pull the old start device straight off the compressor pins; align and push the new device fully onto the terminals
• Reconnect wiring, reinstall any cover or bracket, and restore power to test
