Page D Herndon , VA October 06, 2014 Automatic ice maker began leaking water and flooded my kitchen floor ed the problem as a solenoid failure in the inlet valve repair recommended was valve replacement whi Appliance repairman diagnosed problem as a solenoid failure. The fix was to replace the inlet valve. I was able to buy the part from Appliance Parts Pros at less expense than from the technician's company. Joel B Oroville , CA June 14, 2015 No water at all I replaced the water inlet valve. Once I found out that all you need to do is press down on the rings holding the tubing it was easy. I expected it to leak but not a single drop of water was spilled. I replaced a broken freezer light switch which I had bypassed several years ago to get the ice maker working.
