The fix was to replace the inlet valve. I was able to buy the part from Appliance Parts Pros at less expense than from the technician's company. Joel B Oroville , CA June 14, 2015 No water at all I replaced the water inlet valve. Once I found out that all you need to do is press down on the rings holding the tubing it was easy. I expected it to leak but not a single drop of water was spilled. I replaced a broken freezer light switch which I had bypassed several years ago to get the ice maker working. I googled it and the first hit was the appliancepartspros.com website. I easily found the replacement, ordered it and had it within 3 days. Other than taking the screws out to remove the lower back plate on our refridgerator, removal of the old part and installing the new one required no tools and could not have been easier.
