Whirlpool WPW10206073 Control Panel And Touchpad For Oven OEM Part

Did a quick search and this site was on the first page. Found that this is a common problem on these stoves. Super quick shipping and exact correct parts from Appliance Parts Pros!! Super easy fix. 1 Turn off breaker to the stove. 2 Pull all 4 gas control knobs. 3 Pull the stove out about 4 inches. 4 Remove the one black phillips screw on each side of the panel in the corner. 5 Remove 4 silver hex screws with a 1/4" nut driver under the panel. You have to open the door to access them. 6 Remove 4 silver phillips screws that attach the panel to the gas control knobs. Hang onto the panel as you remove the last one because it is all that holds the panel on at this time. 7 Carefully pull the panel out and tilt it down towards you. 8 Carefully disconnect all of the wires from back side of the circuit board. Don't worry, they will only go back on one way, so you can't mess them up. 9 Lay the panel face down on a towel next to the replacement panel so you don't scratch the screen. 10 Remove ribbon cable that connects to the touch pad. 11 Remove the 4 silver phillips head screws that attach the circuit board to the back side of the panel. 12 Reinstall the board onto the new panel. 13 Reverse above for install. Nothing to it!!

After looking at forum questions on AppliancePartsPros.com, it appeared that the key pad was probably at fault. It should be noted that the clock display was functioning. Removing the front panel was fairly easy. There is one machine screw at each end that are hidden so the stove needs to be pulled out a few inches. There is one screw at each gas control that will need to be removed. And four sheet metal hex head screws at the bottom of the control panel. I took a few photos of the circuit board to serve as a reference for re-connecting electrical leads. Also, there was no apparent damage or burned out circuits on the mother board. Some of the connectors had a small catch; others did not. Be patient removing leads; some are on pretty tight. ALSO, REMOVE ELECTRICAL POWER TO STOVE BEFORE DOING ANY WORK. Re-installed new control panel and my Jenn-air was as good as new. On-line chat was great. They were very thorough in their research of my questions. They shipped my order same day it was ordered and I received the part in a couple of days.

I replaced the touch panel with a new one.

Replacing the Panel Control resolved the issue
