Put back in together with new parts. It works fine now. Washing machine would fill with water and stop won't agitate drain or spin My husband researched the problem and purchased a lid switch, timer,cam assembly, and a whirlpool direct drive washer motor coupling to rule out every possible problem. Charles H Ripley , WV June 27, 2014 Appliance: Model 110-16972500 Agitator upper portion was not turning Pulled the top of the agitator off and removed the dust shield beneath. Removed the bolt holding the agitator in place and pulled it up and out. The dogs that were supposed to turn the agitator were worn away. Ordered the Cam-Agit and installed it.
