Larry F Colorado Springs , CO July 17, 2018 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL GD2SHAXNQ The water filter housing was leaking when the filter was changed and the filter was not seating properly after 14 years the door closer pads were worn to nubs and black crud was falling on the floor I put this repair off for too long thinking that there would be problems (plumbing ya know). The filter housing replacement was easy and quicker than expected with no leaks (maybe two drops of water on the floor). I propped up the closed door with wood blocks and replacing the the closer pads went smooth. A small vise is needed to replace the upper pad on the removed bracket.
