Whirlpool WP2188919 Refrigerator Ice Maker Drive Shaft Holder OEM Part

My refrigerator was not dispensing ice. I could hear the motor activating but noticed the ice auger was not turning. My old drive shaft was stripped on both ends. Video was very helpful and it was an easy fix for someone with little handyman experience. Received my order much faster than expected! The parts arrived the next day and paid for the standard shipping charge. I live in Texas.

Added a new shaft as the old shaft had worn down...........works perfect now. Thank you Easy fix ....no more than 10 mins.

Thanks to the testimony of others on the site, I knew exactly which parts to order. The triangular holder which keeps the ice storage container was cracked so I replaced it. I also ordered a new Auger Motor Drive Shaft which makes the curvy metal piece in the bin turn. Mine had worn down and would not turn the curvy metal piece anymore. Replacing these pieces worked like a charm. My kids were amazed that ice now comes out of the door after 2 months of having to reach inside.

I replaced the ice dispencer drive shaft and retaining cap. I was very pleased with the service, the problem description, and how quickly (1 day) the parts arrived. The fix took less than 10 minutes, the parts fit exactly and everything is working again. Thanks
