Whirlpool 833697 Refrigerator Condenser Fan Motor OEM Part

After reviewing the 'how to' video on AppliancePartsPros.com, I unplugged the refrigerator and removed the back cover to access the motor. I then unplugged the wiring and removed the bad motor. I cut the clip plug and wired it to the new motor, installed the fan blade from the old motor and re-installed the new motor. After connecting the clip plug and re-installing the back cover, I plugged the refrigerator in and checked the interior about 5 minutes after the repair. Everything has been working fine since the repair and I am completely satisfied with your product and the video you provide. Thank you and I will keep your site in my Favorites file for future use.

Purchased a replacement condenser fan motor kit from AppliancePartsPros and swapped out the bad one with the replacement. On your site there was a video on how to swap out motors for my refrigerator. It looks like your guy took 20 minutes or so to do the job. This IS NOT how my replacement went. In the video your guy had EASY access to the motor. My access to the motor was blocked by a spider web of very thin, NON MOVABLE copper tubing. As a result, my job took 2 1/2 hours to complete.

Replaced the condenser fan in my 15 year old Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator. It was very easy to remove the old fan from the bottom rear of the fridge. Clipped the harness off of the old fan and wired it to the new fan using the included wire nuts. Bolted the new fan in and was up and running in about 20 minutes.

Replaced: condenser fan motor, defrost timer, defrost thermostat (bi-metal), and added a heat probe. Fan motor obviously shot... hard to turn by hand. Defrosted for 48 hours, cleaned & bleached drain tube. Never tried to test the old timer or bi-metal but it now runs perfectly and tightly maintains 39/0 degrees with dry fridge. When reassembled and powered up, compressor did nothing... I advanced the timer knob until condenser started. Hung the heat probe securely on defrost element and cut it short so it was positioned just above the drain (paranoid & over-kill). Could probably do the job (after defrosting) in less than an hour. Pleased (yet again) with result and appliance parts pros. Great resource for the handy homeowner. Thanks!!

I went online and put the description of my problem in the search engine and there popped up several responses that indicated the fan was probably not working. I took the back off of the refrigerator and sure enough the fan was not working. I unplugged the refrigerator and cleaned the fan and it started working. But it kept doing the same thing again and again. I decided I needed to replace the fan. I found the fan on appliance parts pro and also saw that there was a video on how to replace the fan. After watching the video, I ordered the part and when I got it, I replaced the fan motor and everything has been fine since then. Not being mechanical, I was a little apprehensive about doing the repair myself. But the video showed me how easy it was and Appliance Parts Pros saved me a bunch of money since I avoided calling a service technician. Thanks for your great website!!
