James D Stillwater , MN March 05, 2016 Flashing lights and an unresponsive touch panel I turned off power and unplugged the touch panel ribbon cable. After restoring power and closing the dishwasher, it started running a drain cycle--this suggested the issue was the touch panel. Replacing the panel was pretty simple. Remove 6 screws (need a torx) bit, unplug the ribbon cable, take off the control board and the handle, and then reattach the new touch panel. At first, some of the buttons on the new touch panel didn't seem to work, but after running one cycle, everything is fine and we have run several cycles with no issues since then. Ann N Springview , NE March 19, 2019 Blinking lights and reset codes wouldn't fix I found the new brain board on Appliance Pros. There was video for another model for my Kitchenaid on how to open the door up for access to the circuit tape. Removing that tape was the challenge but after seeing to slide it off and then put the tabs built into the new one in the track, it was fine. I replaced the screws after putting the handle back in it's tabs, shut the door, turned on the power and started the cycle. YIPPPEEE for me it all worked. Great video tutorials, great ease in finding my parts and a great site. I have used this company for 10 years and have not been disappointed in any of it. Living in the plains states and in the country it is hard to get a service call, so as long as this site and vendor is still available I can keep my appliances up and running myself!!!
