Curtis H Mequon , WI February 22, 2021 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator WRS571CIDM02 Diffuser failed for 3rd time resulting in clicking noises Ordered replacement diffuser; waited for replacement diffuser to arrive; removed diffuser from packaging; removed one hex head screw; pulled off plastic cover; pressed down locking tab lever on electrical connector then pulled connector apart; removed bad diffuser; inserted new diffuser; inserted electrical connector and made sure locking tab latched; positioned wires and electrical connector assembly; inserted hex head screw back into hole in cover maintaining pressure with nut driver so screw does not fall out; re-inserted plastic cover aligning screw in hole then tightening screw into hole; press cover firmly against side of interior; tighten screw finger tight (do NOT overtighten as you are screwing into plastic); Read More... 7 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers
